Jean passed away Friday morning, June 22 surrounded by her loving family at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.
Jean is survived by her husband of 47 years, James R. Hertzel; children, June Preston, James Hertzel Jr. (Andrea), Julie Doyle (Michael), Jill Alcazar (Sergio); 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, all of whom loved her deeply. She is also survived by her sister, Bonnie Connors (Lawrence) and brother, William Schneeberger. Jean is pre-deceased by her parents, Lorraine and Harold Schneeberger.
Jean loved the outdoors, sailing, golfing, bike riding, skiing, and flying with Jim. Jean was a Colorado State Champion Trap Shooter. She was CFO of Alumni Consulting Group International which she ran along side her husband, Jim, since 1992.
Jean was involved in numerous charitable organizations and in her local communities of Parker, CO and Palm Harbor, FL. She had a positive impact wherever she went with her endless energy and smile. She will be truly missed by her family, friends, and anyone's life she had touched.
Jean passed away from a preventable pathogen (C Diff) which can become deadly in older adults. The family encourages you take the time to understand the causes and effects to prevent this from affecting your family and loved ones.
